Our Sustainability Commitments

We aim to offer freshly roasted, single-origin African coffee that respects the people who grow it and the environment we all share.

Our approach to sustainability is practical and intentional. As a small but growing business, we focus on making meaningful choices where we have direct control, while continuously reviewing how we can improve across sourcing, roasting, packaging, and delivery.

Electric Roasting & Production

Our coffee is roasted using low-emission, electric roasting technology, significantly reducing the environmental impact typically associated with traditional gas roasting.

Electric roasting allows us to:

  • Lower direct emissions during production
  • Improve energy efficiency
  • Achieve consistent, high-quality roast profiles
  • Operate in a more environmentally responsible way as we scale

This is a core part of how we think about building a future-ready coffee business.

Packaging & Materials

We actively work to minimise unnecessary packaging and avoid plastic wherever possible.

While some components are still difficult to replace entirely at our current scale, we prioritise:

  • Recyclable materials
  • Responsible packaging formats
  • Ongoing evaluation of better alternatives as they become available

Our goal is continuous improvement — not perfection — and we adapt our packaging choices as more sustainable options become viable for a growing business.

Continuous Improvement

Although our size does not always allow us to influence every partner in our supply chain, we regularly review our operational choices and make changes whenever we can to reduce our overall environmental footprint.

Sustainability for us is not a fixed claim, but an evolving process.
