About us
To get more money to the smallholder farmers who grow Zimbabwe's coffee.
ZiMM.Coffee tackles rural poverty in Zimbabwe. We pay smallholder coffee farmers in the Eastern Highlands a premium for good coffee. That premium is paid for by selling the coffee to Zimbabwe's own middle and rising classes, not by foreign donors.
We are a business, not a charity. The premium we pay farmers comes from selling coffee to Zimbabwe's own middle and rising classes. Grants and investment help us start and grow. Sales keep it going.
The Eastern Highlands run along Zimbabwe's border with Mozambique. At 1,200 to 1,800 metres, cool nights and mist slow down ripening. The cherries have time to build sugar, which gives a clean, bright cup. Zimbabwe mainly grows Arabica, and every bean we sell is Arabica.
Smallholder families, organised through the ZimKaffee Cooperative. We sign with each farmer before the season, pay a deposit, check the quality and pay above the local buyer rate. See how it works.
One origin, four roasts. Filter is light and bright for pour-over. Omni is a balanced medium roast for any brewer. Espresso has the body and sweetness for milk drinks. Italian is dark and bold, the way it is drunk in an Italian bar.
